Abramson Codes
System for correcting single and adjacent double errors.
📖 Algorithm Overview
Abramson codes use P(x) = (1+x)P₁(x) as a generator, achieving dmin=4 to correct bursts of length b=2.
- Encoding: Appending remainder R(x) of x^m·G(x) divided by P(x).
- Decoding: Syndrome calculation and cyclic left shifts if W > 2.
- Correction: XOR with remainder when W ≤ 2 and reverse shift.
